HWHosting
Hosting the modern way — your own container, your own Postgres, HTTPS included.
Leave shared cPanel boxes behind. Upload a Next.js or static build over SFTP and it's live.

Old school vs new school
Did cPanel, FTP, and LAMP? Here's what changed.
Isolation
Before: Hundreds of sites share one Apache/PHP box
Now: Each site in its own Docker container with resource limits
Database
Before: Shared MySQL server, phpMyAdmin
Now: Your own isolated Postgres role + database
File access
Before: FTP (often plaintext) + cPanel file manager
Now: SFTP only, locked to your folder
HTTPS
Before: Buy or paste a certificate, renew it yourself
Now: Automatic HTTPS via Let's Encrypt
Stack
Before: LAMP: PHP + MySQL
Now: Next.js static export, React builds, plain HTML
Security
Before: Whatever the shared host configured
Now: fail2ban, CrowdSec, geoblocked key-only SSH
Deploys
Before: Drag files into public_html
Now: Build and upload to your www/ folder
Platform
What you actually get today.
Verified on the server, not marketing wishes. Anything not live yet is in Coming soon below.
Your own container
Every customer gets a dedicated Docker container (nginx) with its own memory and CPU limits, so one site can't starve another.
Isolated Postgres
A separate Postgres role and database per customer, reachable from your container. No shared tables, no shared login.
SFTP-only access
Your login is file transfer only, locked to your own folder. No shell, no FTP in plaintext.
HTTPS by default
Sites are served through hwhosting.com — or your own custom domain — over HTTPS with Let's Encrypt certificates. Nothing to install.
Layered security
fail2ban and CrowdSec block abusive IPs, SSH is geoblocked, and your container mounts your files read-only.
Modern static + Next.js
Ship a Next.js static export, a React/Vite build, or plain HTML.

Hardware DNA
Racks dressed like production — not spaghetti.
Color-coded fiber and coolant plants keep service paths obvious. That same discipline shows up in how we run sites: one container, one database, one login per customer — no mystery wiring.
Pricing
One plan. We build it, we host it.

The rest of a host customers actually need.
Full roadmap below. Status, nightly Postgres backups, alerts, custom domains with auto HTTPS, and the billing portal are live. Planned work covers env and secrets vaults, bootstrap, preview databases, remote access from Cursor, cron, resource tiers, live metrics, and transparent pricing.
Uptime & status page
LiveStatus and incident history for signed-in customers
Nightly Postgres backups
LiveLogical dump of each customer database every night, kept 7 days. Not point-in-time restore.
Alerts
LiveOperator email for downtime, HTTP 5xx spikes, high disk or CPU, and certificates near expiry
Custom domains + auto HTTPS
LiveBring your domain with certificates managed for you
Env var vault
Per-environment secrets, masked values, rotation
One-command bootstrap
App + DB + GitHub + envs in one flow
Preview databases
Branch-linked DBs or clear staging rules
SSH / remote DB from Cursor
Safe console and query access for agents
Cron & scheduled tasks
Recurring jobs without a separate box
Resource tiers / autoscaling
Clear CPU, RAM, and disk options
Live metrics
Latency, bandwidth, DB connections, build minutes
Transparent pricing & meters
See usage before the invoice surprises you

Workflow
From empty folder to live app — the HostWatcher way.
01
Get your workspace
Sign up and, once approved, you get your own Docker container, Postgres database, and SFTP login.
02
Build & upload
Build locally (Next.js static export, or plain HTML) and upload over SFTP into www/.
03
Live over HTTPS
Your container serves the files right away at your HTTPS URL on hwhosting.com.
